A day at Hualalai Academy

Thank you so much to Hualalai Academy for inviting me to their school!  I had a great time and wanted to share these wonderful thank you letters I received yesterday from Jennifer Peterson and her 2nd grade students.  One student said, " It was the best day of my life."  That's so cool.

Russell's Giant MU

Russell stopped by this morning with a whopper - a 9# mu!  Caught from shore with rod and reel.  Awesome!

Thank you Hanahauoli School!

A big "THANK YOU" the 2nd grade class at Hanahauoli School!  They invited me to their art and science class and we had a great time learning about fish and gyotaku prints.  Happy fishing to all of you!  Remember, "catch 'em, print 'em, and eat 'em"!!!

Double Bonus Prize!

Super Thursday for Ryan and his son Hunter!  Two ulua with one spear, YUP  TWO ULUA, speared at the same time with one spear!  He was going for the big guy and got the bonus omilu that was hiding behind him!  Even more unreal... the line BROKE so Eric went back up to get another spear.  Heard splashing behind him - possible shark?  No, it the huge white ulua thrashing around so they were able to grab him and the omilu.  What a day!

Gavin's Moana'ukali

Check out the size of this monster!  Biggest moana'ukali so far this year - congrats to Gavin!  He was diving on the south shore in 30-40 feet of water when he spotted this guy in a cave and speared him.
